Memorial Tribute Wake - Purple Themed Flowers

A very good friend's mother had passed away and I was honored and privileged to help my friend with all the funeral preparation.  We've known the family for so long that it was a very emotional loss for all of us.  But, one of the things that was cathartic for me was the creation of the flowers we used in the reception room.

Flowers always convey kindness, thoughtfulness and help in lifting up someone's spirit.  I wanted to convey that there's still beauty in the midst of sadness. The following purple themed flowers were a tribute and a celebration of life.

Floral arrangement 1
The heart signifying the love we have for her was made and created with the help of my friend and two sisters  to honor the mother. It's made of carnation, pomps, statice, pink cabbage, iris, gypsophilia, delphiniums and a variety of small purple flowers.
